Once an unrivaled choice for media playback in Windows and other systems, CyberLink PowerDVD has started behaving as a heavy-duty bloatware. The whole experience can feel like an adware slideshow on steroids. The PowerDVD program is usually bundled on the Windows 10 system as part of a laptop sales promotion strategy or other activities. If you want a better Blu-Ray media player, go for an Xbox One device or opt for a Blu-Ray ripper. Windows 11 happens to make it very difficult to install PowerDVD and easier to uninstall the program. I was able to uninstall a stubborn program with the help of command prompt method.

I travel heavily, and when I am away from home my laptop is essentially my lifeline. I depend on it for getting my work done, communicating with those who need to reach me, entertainment and more. As a lifelong “computer guy,” I from time to time have friends and family ask me what type of computer they should buy, or what they should look for in a new laptop. Obviously, everyone’s needs are different, but the number one thing that I expect from a laptop is rock solid reliability. Imo, they need to stick to a Windows 7 style interface, or at least have an option for it, in later Windows versions that followed it. In the game bar, you’ll see a camera icon in the top-left corner, press this to take a screenshot. Alternatively, you can press Windows key + Alt + Print Screen together with the game bar active. Keep in mind that you can only use the Game Bar to perform a screen record of only one application or active window at a time, which is usually the last window you clicked into. Also, you can’t switch to recording another window after you start recording. The game bar won’t also let you record your whole screen, so you can’t record your Desktop or File Explorer or a few other apps, such as Maps. We recommend that you first experiment ahead of time if possible.
